The CTSA is the county association for the sport of .22 Small-bore Rifle and Pistol Target shooting, many of our clubs also have facilities for Benchrest shooting, Air Rifle and Air Pistol shooting. Shooting for the Blind and Visually Impaired, Full-bore Target shooting, Muzzle Loading Rifle and hand gun and Lightweight Sport Rifle shooting are also available at some ranges in Cornwall. Disabled visually impaired and even blind people are able to participate in shooting sports using equipment adapted for their needs.

People of all ages from about 10 to well over 80 can enjoy taking part in the competitive sport of target shooting in various disciplines and at all levels of ability, alternatively if like some people you are not competitive you can just enjoy shooting as a recreational hobby.

It is not expensive to start shooting because the clubs have all the equipment needed for beginners to use on their ranges and you do not need a Firearms Certificate to shoot using the clubs guns. Club membership and range fees aren’t expensive, instruction and coaching are often available and club members with many years of experience are usually on hand to give advice, guidance, tips and recommendations.
